Can a Roman Catholic person still be SAVED if they seek help from “Mother Mary” and continue to PRAY to her? Should they not be calling upon the Father in the name of Jesus, IF they have been truly born again of the Spirit? If you are a Roman Catholic and you believe that you are genuinely born again of the Spirit, then you should leave the Roman Catholic Church immediately. The Holy Spirit will show you that the idea of praying to Mary, along with all the other false teachings are not scriptural and he will lead you through the scriptures as he guides you. I know because I speak as a former Roman Catholic and that is exactly what the Lord did for me!
Mary is a very central part of the Roman Catholic system. You will find the Pope praying his “Hail Mary” prayers every day no matter where you will find him in his travels around the world. After he visits a country, you will often find the Pope entrusting that same country to the care and protection of “Mother Mary” as he did after his recent trip to the USA in September 2015. I prayed the rosary many times as a Roman Catholic, but all that idolatry stopped when I was born again of the Spirit. That should be the testimony of any person who has been truly delivered from the false doctrines of the Roman Catholic system. Why? Because the Holy Spirit will always testify of Jesus Christ, and there should no longer be a need or a desire to pray to GOD, through anyone else. When I got saved, I knew instantly that I had been living in deception, and I knew that the real Mary never heard a single prayer of mine. Here are some of the reasons why you should stop praying to Mary immediately:
The Holy Spirit Testifies About Jesus Not Mary
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. (John 16:13)
Jesus told us that the Comforter )the Holy Spirit) would TESTIFY of HIM not Mary.
“But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall TESTIFY of ME:” (John 15:26)
Friends this is not a light thing. If the Holy Spirit is pointing you to Jesus Christ, then you need to listen to him. You will not find anything in the scriptures about the Holy Spirit pointing you to Mary, or any other person for that matter. That is pure idolatry and nothing but man-made tradition and superstition. It is demonic at its very root, and this is coming from an ex-Catholic. Mary cannot hear you at all! I repeat. Mary cannot hear you because she is not a deity, and she is not omnipresent or omnipotent. You have been deceived and you need to REPENT of that idolatry that is so rampant in the Roman Catholic system.
The Bible Declares That Jesus Is the Only Way
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 14:6)
If a person has been truly saved, then you will find them exalting the name of Jesus Christ, not Mary. Jesus is the one who shed his blood on the cross, not Mary. That also applies to ALL other religions for that matter. That applies to the Jew as well as the Gentile! There is no other name and there is no other way for a person to be SAVED outside of Jesus Christ!
Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. (Acts 4:10-12)
The Bible Declares Jesus Christ Is The Only Mediator
For there is one God, and ONE mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; (1 Timothy 2:5)
Did you read that? Where does it tell you in the scriptures to pray to Mary who was a sinner who needed a Saviour? It cannot be found! You have been deceived by Rome so get out as quick as possible!
And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, And my spirit hath rejoiced in GOD MY SAVIOUR. (Luke 1:46-47)
The Jewish Law required Mary to bring specific animals to be offered by the priest before the LORD, and that is exactly what Mary did. (Leviticus 12:1-8) Those sacrifices included a SIN offering and Mary did just what any other Jewish woman was required to do at that time. (Luke 2:21-24)
“And when eight days were accomplished for the circumcising of the child, his name was called JESUS, which was so named of the angel before he was conceived in the womb. And when the days of HER purification according to the law of Moses were accomplished, they brought him to Jerusalem, to present him to the Lord; (As it is written in the law of the Lord, Every male that openeth the womb shall be called holy to the Lord;) And to offer a sacrifice according to that which is said in the law of the Lord, A pair of turtledoves, or two young pigeons.” (Luke 2:21-24)
Here are the scriptures from the Old Testament book of Leviticus which Mary was very aware of, and which she desired to follow to the very letter.
“And when the days of HER purifying are fulfilled, for a son, or for a daughter, she shall bring a lamb of the first year for a burnt offering, and a young pigeon, or a turtledove, for a SIN offering, unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, unto the priest: Who shall offer it before the LORD, and make an ATONEMENT for HER; and SHE shall be CLEANSED from the issue of her blood. This is the law for her that hath born a male or a female. And if she be not able to bring a lamb, then she shall bring two turtles, or two young pigeons; the one for the burnt offering, and the other for a SIN offering: and the priest shall make an ATONEMENT for HER, and she shall be clean.” (Leviticus 12:6-8)
Do you see why the false teaching regarding the “sinlessness” of Mary is such a travesty? I was numbered among the countless millions who were deceived by that false teaching as a Roman Catholic. I was born again in 1989 and I have found that Jesus Christ is the only mediator that I need. I had a CHOICE to make regarding all of this, and if you are still praying to Mary, you also have a CHOICE to make.
“And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, CHOOSE you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” (Joshua 24:15)
I can speak from personal experience that when you decide to follow the Lord Jesus Christ and lay aside the false the Lord will certainly bless you and SAVE your soul when you call upon him. The road will not be easy, and many people will turn against you when you come out of the “kingdom” of the world, and into the kingdom of God.
” Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man’s sake. Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets. “(Luke 6:22-23)
The Bible Declares That Jesus Makes Intercession for Us
Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. (Romans 8:34)
Once again, I implore you that it was Jesus Christ who died for my sins, and for your sins too. When I got saved, I left the Catholic church, and I never attended Mass anymore because it is an insult to the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross. Rome teaches that their Catholic Mass satisfies the justice of God for sins committed against him, and that is absolute blasphemy. If Jesus Christ is making intercession for the believer, then why on earth should you seek the intercession of Mary? I have been saved for over 28 years and Jesus Christ has been interceding for me for all those years. I am doing just fine without Mary, and as I said, she never heard me in the first place.
The Bible Says That Eternal Life Is in The Son of God
And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. (John 17:3)
Do you KNOW the real Jesus Christ, or do you simply know about him? There is a big difference between being RELIGIOUS and having SALVATION in Jesus Christ! There is a big difference you know, and it is the difference between eternity in Heaven and eternity in Hell!
He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. (1 John 5:10-13)
Eternal life is found in only ONE place and that is Jesus Christ. You do not have to go THROUGH Mary to get to Jesus Christ as the Pope would like you to believe. You can go directly to Jesus Christ and ask him to SAVE your soul. You do not have to enter a confessional box on Saturday, or any other day for that matter, to confess your sins to a Catholic priest, because the Lord will hear you for himself, no matter where you are! Take it from me it really works!
And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life. Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen. (1 John 5:20-21)
The Bible Declares That You Must Be Born Again
” That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. ” (John 3:6-8)
The Catholic church teaches you that you are born again when you are baptized as an infant. That is not true. I was baptized as an infant and a Roman Catholic priest sprinkled my head with “holy water” but I was not born again until many years later. I was 36 years old when I was truly born again of the Spirit, and then I exited the Roman Catholic church! Oh, friends, you are not going to hear teaching like this in your Roman Catholic church, or from many of the so-called “Christian” churches, that willingly compromise the truth. Many modern-day preachers would not dare to preach the straight truth, even if you glued a ruler to their tongue!
