The Only True Israel of God According to the Scriptures

It is imperative for the people of the Lord to understand what the Bible has to say, regarding the topic of Israel, because we are living in perilous times for sure. There is a true Israel and there is a false Israel when it comes to salvation, and those who truly know the Lord Jesus Christ. The words below were written by the apostle Paul, a former persecutor and murderer of true believers in Jesus Christ.

For he is NOT a JEW, which is one OUTWARDLY; neither is that CIRCUMCISION, which is OUTWARD in the FLESH: But HE IS A JEW, which is one INWARDLY; and CIRCUMCISION is that of the HEART, in the SPIRIT, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of GOD. (Romans 2:28-29)

Jesus Christ told a Jewish Rabbi that he needed to be born again of the Spirit. The Jewish Rabbi Nicodemus had been born in the FLESH (physical), but he was NOT yet born again of the Spirit!

” That which is born of the FLESH is FLESH; and that which is born of the SPIRIT is SPIRIT. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye MUST be BORN AGAIN. The wind bloweth where it listeth (wishes), and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is BORN of the SPIRIT. ”  (John 3:6-8)

The apostle Paul made the following point regarding the TRUE Israel of God here:

Not as though the word of GOD hath taken none effect. For they are NOT all ISRAEL, which are of ISRAEL: (Romans 9:6)

Paul made it ever so clear that being a Jew was not just a matter of a physical circumcision of the flesh, but a circumcision of the heart. A person may have had a physical circumcision performed on their fleshly body, but they have never had their hearts circumcised [a spiritual work in the heart]. In other words they are not right with God!

Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more STIFFNECKED. For the LORD your GOD is GOD of gods, and LORD of LORDS, a great GOD, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward: (Deuteronomy 10:16-17)

“Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet, HEAVEN is my THRONE, and EARTH is my FOOTSTOOL: what house will ye build me? saith the LORD: or what is the place of my rest? Hath not my hand made all these things? Ye STIFFNECKED and UNCIRCUMCISED in HEART and ears, ye do always resist the HOLY GHOST: as your fathers did, so do ye. Which of the PROPHETS have not your fathers persecuted? and they have SLAIN THEM which shewed before of the coming of the JUST ONE (JESUS); of whom ye have been now the betrayers and MURDERERS:”  (Acts 7:48-52)

There is a gross misunderstanding in the “Church World” regarding the people of Israel. I am talking about ethnic Israel, and those who do not follow the Lord Jesus Christ, nor have any wish to do so. The most religious of them do not make any bones about it either. They do not believe that Jesus is the Christ [Messiah], and they make it clear that they are awaiting the FIRST coming of their own version of the Messiah!

The only thing that really matters is what the WORD OF GOD has to say regarding Israel, and how a person can come to salvation. Jesus Christ poured out His heart [and eventually His own blood], when He preached to the people of Israel, and He told them in no uncertain terms that they would die in their sins without Him!

Then said JESUS again unto them, I go my way, and ye shall seek me, and SHALL DIE IN YOUR SINS: whither I go, YE CANNOT COME. Then said the JEWS, Will he KILL himself? because he saith, Whither I go, YE CANNOT COME. And he said unto them, Ye are from BENEATH; I AM from ABOVE: ye are of THIS WORLD; I am NOT of THIS WORLD. I said therefore unto you, that YE SHALL DIE IN YOUR SINS: for IF YE BELIEVE NOT that I AM HE, YE SHALL DIE IN YOUR SINS. (John 8:21-24)

“JESUS said unto them, If GOD were your FATHER, ye would LOVE ME: for I proceeded forth and came from GOD; neither came I of myself, but HE SENT ME. Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word. Ye are of your FATHER the DEVIL, and the lusts of your FATHER ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not. Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me? He that is of GOD heareth God’s words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are NOT of GOD. ”  (John 8:42-47)

Folks, those words stand as true today, as they did when Jesus first spoke them. Any person, whether they be Jewish or Gentile, who has died without Jesus Christ since that time has died in their sins, and gone into Hades [Hell] where they await the final judgment of God. That is the Gospel truth. In fact if that is not true then Jesus Christ is a liar.

Jesus saith unto him, I AM the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE: no man cometh unto the Father, BUT BY ME. (John 14:6)

The apostle Paul suffered much because he preached the Gospel of Jesus Christ, straight and without a chaser. That is why his former cohorts wanted to kill him immediately after he turned to follow Jesus Christ. [Acts 9:23] Listen to Paul as he pours out his heart before King Agrippa with the Spirit of God all over him:

My manner of life from my youth, which was at the first among mine own nation at Jerusalem, know all the JEWS; Which knew me from the beginning, if they would testify, that after the most straitest sect of our religion I lived a Pharisee. And now I stand and am judged for the hope of the promise made of GOD unto our fathers: Unto which promise our twelve tribes, instantly serving GOD day and night, hope to come. For which hope’s sake, king Agrippa, I am accused of the JEWS. Why should it be thought a thing incredible with you, that GOD should raise the dead? I verily thought with myself, that I ought to do many things contrary to the name of JESUS of Nazareth. Which thing I also did in JERUSALEM: and many of the saints did I shut up in prison, having received authority from the CHIEF PRIESTS; and when they were put to DEATH, I gave my voice against them. And I punished them oft in every synagogue, and compelled them to blaspheme; and being exceedingly mad against them, I persecuted them even unto strange cities. (Acts 26:4-11)

“Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision: But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should REPENT and turn to GOD, and do works meet for repentance. For these causes the JEWS caught me in the temple, and went about to KILL ME. Having therefore obtained help of GOD, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying NONE other things than those which the PROPHETS and MOSES did say should come: That CHRIST should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles.”  (Acts 26:19-23)

What power is heard in those words. This is the testimony of a Jewish man who thought that he was on the right track with God, until the Lord Jesus Christ confronted him right out of Heaven and showed him the right way to go. If Paul had died before that experience on the road to Damascus he would have died in his sins, just like anybody else, and he most certainly would have spent an eternity in Hell. Listen to Paul again as he speaks about the Israel of God.

But GOD forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our LORD JESUS CHRIST, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world. For in CHRIST JESUS neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature (creation). And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the ISRAEL of GOD. (Galatians 6:14-16)

“Therefore if ANY MAN be in CHRIST, he is a NEW CREATURE (creation): old things are passed away; behold, all things are become NEW. And all things are of GOD, who hath RECONCILED US to himself by JESUS CHRIST, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;”  (2 Corinthians 5:17-18)

The scriptures tell us the “ISRAEL OF GOD” is made up of those who glory only in the cross of Jesus Christ!  That includes both Jewish and Gentile believers in Jesus Christ. People in the “Church World” have elevated ETHNIC ISRAEL [the Jewish people] and put them on a pedestal, something which the Lord Jesus Christ never did. Read the Gospel accounts for yourself and let the truth set you free.

THEN PREACH THE GOSPEL TO THEM WITHOUT COMPROMISE!

TO HOLD BACK THE GOSPEL TRUTH IS NOT LOVE AT ALL!

TO HOLD BACK THE TRUTH IS NOT MERCIFUL AT ALL!

Salvation does not come any other way, except through faith in Jesus Christ. If a minister is leading anybody [Jewish or Gentile] to believe that they are under a different covenant, or that they can be saved in a different manner, they ought not to be in the pulpit of any church that bears the name of Jesus Christ.

JESUS saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, BUT BY ME. (John 14:6)

Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of ISRAEL, that by the NAME of JESUS CHRIST of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom GOD raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. Neither is there SALVATION in any other: for there is none other NAME under heaven given among men, whereby we must be SAVED. (Acts 4:10-12)
