In this day of “Christian” entertainment, and feel-good-at-any-cost motivational sermons, it is important that the real Christian, never lose sight of the primary way that Jesus Christ saves souls. It is through the preaching of the Gospel. Every person that walks this Earth is either SAVED or LOST in the sight of Almighty God. That is a truth that is absolutely irrefutable. When I was born again of the Spirit of the living God, I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt, that had I died previous to that time, I would have died in my sins and gone to Hell. There are many people who hear the way I am speaking now, and simply mock the Gospel with a sneer. They simply have no idea at all , that they are on the broad road to destruction that Jesus spoke about. (Matthew 7:13-14) But why is it that they do not understand? Here is the answer to that question:

Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. (1 Corinthians 2:12-14)

The UNSAVED people (and that is the majority of people) cannot understand the things of God, because they do not have the Holy Spirit. It is that simple. That described me perfectly UNTIL the day that the Lord opened up my eyes to the truth. When the Holy Spirit comes IN, the darkness goes OUT! It was the Holy Spirit of truth (John 16:13) who delivered me out from the deception and darkness of Roman Catholicism, and their man-made traditions, and the Word of God played a great part in that. I always tell people that I NEVER heard these things before in my whole life. I was a religious but LOST Roman Catholic, going through the motions as I attended the Mass, and as I faithfully prayed my “Hail Mary’s” upon my rosary. It was through the scriptures that the Holy Spirit opened my eyes to the TRUE SALVATION which God offers to every human being on Earth! I remember seeing a sign on a church in downtown Brooklyn, that said “Salvation Is Not For Sale Here” and I absolutely LOVE the truth and boldness of that message. I understood for the first time, that the Lord freely offered to ME, the GIFT of salvation (Ephesians 2:8-9) and that He paid the price in FULL with His own BLOOD! (Romans 5:8-9) What? This is just too good to be true, you may say. Are you going to tell me that a person that has been a “low-life” their whole life, can get SAVED and go to Heaven, simply by believing in Jesus Christ? Yes, that is what I am saying, but I am not talking about those who simply “mouth” the words, and do not “repent and believe the Gospel” (Mark 1:15) as Jesus declared. Here is a Bible verse that you should never forget:

For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. (Romans 5:6)

Perhaps you are an atheist at this point in your life, but things can change rather quickly in our short span in this world, and this verse may just come back to you. It is a very humbling thing for a person to identify themselves among the ungodly, but that is just how God sees you. But wait a minute you may say, what about all of the other “religions” in the world, are you telling me that they are all going to end up in Hell? That is the very same question that I myself used to ask people, before I came to know the Lord. Trust me on this one, when the Holy Spirit comes INSIDE the heart, you will know that Jesus Christ is the ONLY way of salvation, beyond any shadow of a doubt! You will find out, the same way that the apostle Paul found out, the one who used to persecute and kill Christians! If Jesus is NOT the only way of salvation, then he was nothing more than a LIAR and you can include the apostle Peter and the rest of the apostles in that also:

Jesus Christ said this:

“. . .  I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6)

The apostle Peter said this:

“Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” (Acts 4:10-12)

The apostle Paul said this:

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.” (Romans 1:16-17)

The Jewish apostle Paul, along with Peter, and the rest of the disciples, were as HELL-BOUND as any drunk lying on the streets of New York City,  UNTIL they got SAVED, and came to know Jesus Christ. You can hop on a Jet plane and travel the world, and no matter where you go you will find people with one thing in common. They are all UNGODLY in the sight of Almighty God without salvation and redemption in Jesus Christ. You will find many who are very RELIGIOUS, but they are also very LOST! In fact they will be the ones who fight the hardest, and RESIST the very message of the Gospel.

Some people think that they are going to WIN people over by simply being NICE to them. Well it is a good thing to be NICE to other people, BUT we cannot forget that they need to understand their OWN lost condition before the Lord. It is NICE to be NICE, but it is the truth about themselves, and the truth of the GOSPEL, that they really need! They may not live to see another day in this world. The Lord puts unsaved people before each and every true Christian, and we have the “goods” that they need. Most are unaware of their NEED for salvation, and they do not know, that they will DIE in their sins without Jesus Christ.. (John 8:24, Mark 16:15-16, John 3:15-18, 36)

For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek (Gentile): for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! (Romans 10:12-15)

Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth. (Proverbs 27:1)
