John, one of the original disciples of Jesus Christ said this:

“He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the WRATH of God abideth on him.”  (John 3:36)

Later on there was a Jewish man named Saul who was dramatically converted to Jesus Christ one day (Acts 9:1-24), and he became a powerful preacher of the gospel of Jesus Christ. That same man became known as the apostle Paul, and he wrote many books which are contained in the New Testament portion of the Bible. Paul told us that the believer could be justified by the blood which Jesus Christ shed for us on the cross, and thus be saved from the wrath of God! That is why the gospel is such great news! Have you been saved from the wrath of God?

“For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be SAVED from WRATH through HIM. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.”  (Romans 5:6-10)
