If you are a Christian, one who has been truly born again of the Spirit, and one who is truly following the Lord Jesus Christ, then this blog post is for you. Be warned! The Devil absolutely HATES the preaching of God’s Word and the beautiful Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. Why? Because any person who understands that they are lost and dead in their sins, without Jesus Christ has the opportunity to get SAVED! When a person is truly SAVED, they exit the Devil’s kingdom immediately! They are NO longer on the Devil’s highway to HELL, but they have been transferred on to the highway to HEAVEN.
So you need to understand that you have a very real SPIRITUAL enemy, who is just as REAL as any person on this earth, the difference is that you CANNOT see him with your physical eyes. The Bible warns us in the following verse about the devil:
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary THE DEVIL, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may DEVOUR: (1 Peter 5:8)
The Devil will seek to take you off course, and he desires to distract the people of God in any way that he can. The scripture passage described him as our adversary, who, as a roaring lion seeks to devour us. Have you ever shared the Gospel of Jesus Christ with any person, and then all of a sudden, it seems that there are a hundred different distractions? It could be that the Devil is at work there, trying to shut down the preaching of God’s Word. We are in a very real battle, and if you truly know the Lord, then your spirit will bear witness with what I am saying here.
I can remember when I came to know the Lord Jesus Christ for real, after having been a Roman Catholic for many years. I was born again in 1989 and I knew that I had been deceived for the first 36 years of my life. That is why I speak out so often on the false teachings of Rome. I know that they are preaching a false gospel that has led millions of people astray for centuries. It is such a pity and a crying shame that so many “famous” people in the “Christian” world have been seduced into compromising with that false system. Many “anointed” ministers and pastors of our time are very well aware that the Roman Catholic system is counterfeit, but they say and do nothing, lest they lose the profitable opportunities that might come their way. We are fortunate to have a Bible in our hands today because of the brave men and women of God, fought against the Church of Rome and their control. In this modern day, there are two additional false doctrines that have been propagated by Rome, and that would be the Immaculate Conception, and the Assumption of Mary. That makes the situation even more pathetic because so few ever speak out against the Roman Catholic system anymore. This is just one modern day example of how the devil is deceiving people.
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the LORD, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of GOD, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the DEVIL. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against PRINCIPALITIES, against POWERS, against the RULERS of the DARKNESS of this WORLD, against SPIRITUAL WICKEDNESS in high places. (Ephesians 6:10-12)
The Roman Catholic Church with its own priesthood, the sacrifice of the Mass, the worship of Mary, and the false teaching about Purgatory creates a Gospel of its own, but it is not the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
But though WE, or an ANGEL from HEAVEN, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. For do I now persuade men, or GOD? or do I seek to PLEASE MEN? for if I yet PLEASED MEN, I should NOT be the servant of CHRIST. (Galatians 1:8-10)
Satan hijacks the gospel of Jesus Christ very easily because there are so many willing participants in the modern-day game of religion. Satan is ever so clever in the way he moves, and he loves it when people use the name of Jesus, but they are not truly born again, and thus they are not preaching the true Gospel. Another modern day deception is that of “Christian” Zionism which puts the focus on the modern-day State of Israel and the ethnic Jewish people. The devil knows that a person must be born again to enter the Kingdom of God and that the Jewish people in Israel, and throughout the world need Jesus Christ as much as anybody else. So the Devil is able to use his own “ministers” of “righteousness” to convince most people that the Jewish people are alright because they are “God’s chosen people”. The Devil is able to take the focus off of Jesus Christ, and their need for Him and twist the whole thing around. Christians are being told that they need to bless Israel or they will be cursed, but the Bible tells me that the wrath of God is upon any person, Jewish or Gentile who does not believe in the Lord Jesus Christ!
He that believeth on the SON hath EVERLASTING LIFE: and he that believeth NOT the Son shall not see life; but the WRATH of GOD abideth on him. (John 3:36)
Satan has truly done a number on the majority of Christians throughout the world. Satans ministers are described in the passage below:
For such are false apostles, DECEITFUL workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for SATAN himself is transformed into an angel of light. (2 Corinthians 11:13-14)
The one thing that you need to remember is this. Satan will do all that he can to keep the true Gospel of Jesus Christ from being preached. If he cannot do that, then he will do all that he can do to corrupt and pervert the Gospel. If he cannot do that then he will do all that he can do to distract people from hearing the true Gospel that they might be saved. The devil will usually use the “religious people” who do not know the Lord to become rabble-rousers, creating storms and distractions to quench the Gospel message. Here are some Biblical examples of how Satan works:
And when the GENTILES heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the LORD: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed. And the word of the LORD was published throughout all the region. But the JEWS stirred up the devout and honourable women, and the chief men of the city, and raised PERSECUTION against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled them out of their coasts. But they shook off the dust of their feet against them, and came unto Iconium. And the disciples were filled with joy, and with the HOLY GHOST. (Acts 13:48-52)
Did you see that? The Jewish unbelievers went for the devout women and the chief men in the city to get them riled against Paul and Barnabas, who were preaching the true Gospel. Paul and Barnabas shook the dust off their feet and moved on. That is the way it is with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Some believe and get saved, and others reject the Gospel and remain lost!
Here is another instance in the book of Acts where that happened:
And it came to pass in Iconium, that they went both together into the synagogue of the JEWS, and so spake, that a great multitude both of the JEWS and also of the Greeks believed. But the UNBELIEVING JEWS STIRRED UP the GENTILES, and made THEIR MINDS evil affected against the brethren. Long time therefore abode they speaking boldly in the LORD, which gave testimony unto the word of his GRACE, and granted signs and wonders to be done by their hands. (Acts 14:1-3)
Satan is the one behind this persecution of Christians and it came as a result of the Devil’s hatred of the Gospel truth!
And yet another example of Satan using people to stir up the people:
But when the JEWS of Thessalonica had knowledge that the WORD of GOD was preached of Paul at Berea, they came thither also, and STIRRED UP the people.(Acts 17:13)
And yet one more example of how the Devil seeks to stop the preaching of the Word of God:
For ye, brethren, became followers of the churches of GOD which in Judaea are in CHRIST JESUS: for ye also have suffered like things of your own countrymen, even as they have of the JEWS: Who both KILLED the LORD JESUS, and THEIR OWN PROPHETS, and have PERSECUTED US; and THEY PLEASE NOT GOD,and are CONTRARY TO ALL MEN: Forbidding US to SPEAK to the GENTILES that they might BE SAVED, to fill up their sins alway: for the WRATH is come upon them to the uttermost. (1 Thessalonians 2:14-16)
The scripture passage (1Thessalonians 2:14-16) tells us that the Jewish unbelievers in Israel, killed the Lord Jesus Christ, and their own prophets, and they continued to persecute the Lord’s people when they desired to preach the Gospel to the Gentiles. Do not miss that last part, where it tells us that they FORBID the preaching to the GENTILES, that they might be SAVED! Do you see how the preaching of God’s Word plays a part in the salvation of a soul? The Jewish people were doing all that they could to keep the preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ from ever getting to the Gentiles! SATAN was the one who was controlling them then, and SATAN is the one who still uses UNSAVED people from all over the world, to STOP the preaching of God’s precious word! In the case of the Jewish people who Paul spoke about, the passage of scripture tells us that the WRATH was upon them to the uttermost! Do you see the contrast between that type of preaching, and the false message of the “Christian Zionist,” who elevates the UNSAVED JEWISH PEOPLE to a supreme position over the rest of the UNSAVED portion of the world? The Devil is the “father of lies” and he certainly has bamboozled millions of precious souls in these last days, but it is NOT too late for you to get right with God.
