As a former Roman Catholic, who was born again in 1989, I believe that it is my biblical duty (Jude 1:3) to warn as many people as I can about the false doctrines of Roman Catholicism, so that they too may escape from that system. It is very important for ex-Catholics to do this because we are living in a day of super compromise. Many of the modern day, so called “anointed” leaders are either joining hands with Rome, double talking, or simply ignoring the issue and just hoping that most of the people in their congregation, will not say anything. Few Christians have the spiritual discernment to see though their scheming. But, I do praise the Lord, that the Holy Spirit of truth is still burning in my heart, and telling me to keep talking the very same way I have since the merciful Lord Jesus saved my soul.
Today I would just like to speak briefly on the topic of Mary worship, and how it betrays the Lord Jesus Christ. Before I came to know the real Jesus Christ, I was a worshiper of Mary, and I prayed my “Hail Mary’s” just like any other Roman Catholic. The words that struck me the most in the “Hail Mary” prayer were the words at the end “Pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death, Amen” I was really concerned about that, and I wanted to make sure that Mary was paying attention to me, when I was about to leave this world. I believe some part of me thought that if I could “bank” as many “Hail Mary’s” as I could, that it would “pay off” at the end of my life. That all came to a halt in 1989 when I was born again of the Spirit. When I came to know Jesus Christ, the Lord opened my eyes to the great deception that I had become entrenched in. I speak the truth to you today, when I tell you that the Lord Jesus Christ absolutely showed me the wickedness of Satan and his kingdom on that day! I am telling you the truth, that my heart was absolutely shell-shocked that day, as to how that devil had deceived myself, and millions of others also, for so long. As I look at the modern day church, you will be hard pressed to find a true man of God, with the spiritual fortitude to speak out on these things! That is one of the reasons that I continue to talk, because souls are literally perishing by the millions, with few Pastors, preachers and leaders caring, and loving them enough, to speak. Here are some great Bible verses that deal with the issue of Mary worship:
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; (1 Timothy 2:5)
Do not miss this simple truth. There is only ONE mediator between God and mankind, and that is the Lord Jesus Christ. I have been saved for over twenty one years and I do not miss, nor have I any desire to pray to Mary. Jesus Christ is doing a wonderful job, as my mediator.
Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. (Romans 8:34)
That is an absolutely awesome verse of scripture. Who is he that can bring condemnation against a true Christian? It is Christ who died for me! (and you too) It is Christ who rose again for me! (and you too) It is Jesus Christ who is sitting at the right hand of God interceding for me! (and you too) Jesus Christ is part of the eternal triune Godhead, but Mary was just a created being, just like the rest of us. Mary was also a sinner just like the rest of us, (Romans 3:23) and she needed a Saviour, just like the rest of us. (Luke 1:47) Remember that I am speaking as a former Roman Catholic here. If you are still in that system, take heed to what you are reading here today, and be liberated in Jesus Christ.
For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us: (Hebrews 9:24)
Sinner friend, the Lord Jesus Christ has entered into HEAVEN! The Lord is in the presence of God for US! That is totally awesome. Mary (the fake Mary) is nothing more than a Satanic distraction to take your eyes off of Jesus Christ. I know that, because I have experienced the other side myself. Let me tell you something ladies and gentlemen. There is a battle for your soul that is raging in the unseen world, and the Devil will try to deceive you any way that he can. The Devil’s deception and craftiness, and deception is not limited to Roman Catholicism, but it includes all the false religions who do not give the same honor to Jesus, the Son as they do to God the Father! (John 5:22-24)
I can remember hearing Catholic people telling me, that we must go to Jesus, through Mary his mother. When I got saved I knew that I had been deceived my whole life up until the age of thirty six. The Lord came at just the right time, because I had been shopping for a statue of Mary, (too much money for me) so that I could build my own private shrine to her. Mary worship is PURE IDOLATRY and is in absolute defiance to the Second Commandment which deals with graven images. (Exodus 20:4-6) My wife Cathy got saved first, and tried to tell me that we had been deceived, but I would not listen to her for weeks. One day, in tears she came to me, and she was reading certain scriptures, that the Lord had shown her, contradicting the “messages of Mary” from Medugorje, Yugoslavia which we had been involved with. Something in my heart told me to listen to her. I decided right then and there, that I had a choice to make. Either God’s Word was true, or the “Messages of Mary” were true, but they both could not be true, because they contradicted each other!
I chose to believe the scriptures (God’s word) and a short time after that I was born again, and the Lord is still keeping me to this very day. We researched the other appearances (apparitions) of “Mary” and discovered they were false also. Reader friend I encourage you to take heed to what you have just read, because these are serious issues. Most churches will trivialize things like “Mary Worship” and that too is part of Satan’s strategy in these last days. I encourage you to seek the Lord for yourself, and to become a “Berean” searching the scriptures daily for spiritual counsel. (Acts 17:11) I thank God that the Lord Jesus Christ saved my soul, and I thank God that the Lord Jesus Christ opened my “spiritual eyes.” How could I ever remain silent in “such a time as this” while so many millions remain in the same darkness that I was in.
