Recently, I received a message from Pope Francis in which he asked that, as a ministry and part of the Body of Christian believers, we pray for him. In 1 Timothy 2:2, the Bible teaches that we are to pray “for all that are in authority.” It is scriptural that we do so. And, therefore, it is our duty to honor the Pope’s request and, as a Body of believers, join our faith with his by coming together in unity and agreeing with him in his quest, and for what is in his heart: the unity of the Body of Christ. So, in obedience to our Lord and His Word, we join our faith with that of Pope Francis as we pray with and for him, that he will receive the righteous desire of his heart, according to the words of Jesus in Mark 11:24: “That whatsoever things you desire when you pray, believe you receive them, and you shall have them.” Our desire, along with that of Pope Francis, is in the fourth chapter of the book of Ephesians: “Till we all come in the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God unto a mature man unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.” This is very important to us all, as the Body of Christ.
The recorded video from Pope Francis was shown at a Kenneth Copeland gathering and played “live” at that meeting. During the video the Roman Catholic Pope mentions a man by the name of Tony Palmer, who he has known for years. Tony Palmer is an Episcopal priest, and he spoke at the same Copeland conference where this video was shown. In the video the Catholic Pope uses the story about Joseph and his brothers, in his appeal for Christian unity.
I believe that this is where many Christians are going to be seduced in these last days. As a former Roman Catholic I can assure you that millions are being hoodwinked, and set up up for big trouble, as they seek to have unity with the Roman Catholic system which preaches a false gospel. The Pope told the Christians at the Kenneth Copeland conference that he was speaking to them “as a brother.” (5:01 into the video) The Catholic Pope also said this one minute later into the video (6:01):
“And lets pray to the Lord He unites us all, Come on we are brothers.”
The false unity alarms are ringing louder than ever before, ladies and gentlemen. This reminds me of the time that Billy Graham met with Pope John Paull II at the Papal apartments at the Vatican, which was described in a Christianity Today editorial:
“Billy Graham had never met a pope until John Paul II invited him to Rome in 1981. Ushered into the papal apartments by the Vatican’s famous Swiss Guard, Graham marveled at the pomp. He and the pope chatted like long-lost friends for half an hour, swapping photos, gifts, and travel stories. Before Graham left, John Paul II reached over, clutched Graham’s thumb, and told him, “We are brothers.” [Christianity Today, May 24, 2005]
I want you to see the next paragraph from that editorial from Christianity Today, because it reveals much.
“Graham revealed nothing of the pope’s message in 1981. At the time of their meeting, John Paul II had been pope less than three years. An assertion of spiritual kinship would have been ill received by the bulk of both their constituencies. But by 1990, when Graham related this story to Time journalist David Aikman, the climate had changed considerably. Key to the thaw were John Paul II’s efforts to beat back communism worldwide.” [Christianity Today, May 24, 2005]
The article said that Billy Graham did not reveal the details of his meeting with the Pope, until many years later when the “climate had changed.” Folks it takes time for the Devil’s leaven to work it’s way into the true church of God. The Devil is not in a rush, and you are beginning to see the manifestation of the Devil’s work bloom forth now in these last days. The “wolves in sheep’s clothing” are beginning to show themselves for what they truly are.
There are millions of Christians that have a nostalgic and sentimental view of Billy Graham, but I am not numbered among that group. If a man joins hands with a system such as Roman Catholicism, then he is not my brother in the Lord. Why? Because the Lord by His Spirit saved my soul out of that demonic system. That is where the rubber meets the road. A person has to make a decision as to whether the words of Billy Graham are true regarding the Roman Catholic church, or whether the scriptures tell the truth about the church of Rome. The road to Rome is a slippery slope, and before you know it you will find yourself joining hands with a system that you would never have dreamed of joining, when you first got saved! I was not a born again Bible believing Christian during the time when Kathryn Kuhlman was a well known preacher, but I did read about her gross compromise with the Roman Catholic church. Kathryn Kuhlman used to allow Roman Catholic Priests and Nuns to regularly sit up on the platform with her, with no resistance from the true Christians. Well known preachers never said a peep about her compromise, and many (most) had no problem with it at all. Nothing has changed in the past 50 years.
The Roman Catholic Pope also said this:
“Lets give each other a spiritual hug and let God complete the work that He has begun”
When I see the Pope repent of the myriad of Rome’s false teachings, which include the teaching that the Catholic Mass satisfies the justice of God for sins committed against him, the false teachings of Purgatory, Mary worship, and being born again, I might think about giving him a “spiritual hug.” In fact I will tell you that any Christian who has no problem with the false teaching of the Roman Catholic Mass, is in defiance to the Lord Jesus Christ himself! Either Jesus paid the price in FULL on the cross or he did not. (Romans 5:6-9) Every true Christian has a choice to make. If you believe that the Roman Catholic Mass satisfies the justice of God, then by all means, please go running back to Rome as fast as you can. If you reject that false teaching, then take a stand for the gospel of Jesus Christ for once in your life, and have nothing to do with it! Do not be a weasel when it comes to things like this. The Roman Catholic Pope also needs to repent of the murder of countless Christians, who were put to death for standing against his church and their false teachings. There will be no spiritual hugs from me until then.
“And this is a miracle; the miracle of unity has begun.” (6:20 into the video)
The Pope then quotes a man by the name of Manzoni:
“I’ve never seen God begin a miracle without Him finishing it well” (Manzoni)
“He will complete this miracle of unity” (Pope Francis)
I agree with that quote, and when I see the Pope throw off those religious garments, and centuries of false teachings, which have led to the damnation of countless millions of souls, then I will receive it as a true miracle from God!
“From Brother to Brother. I embrace you. Thank you.”

The Pope’s message at the Kenneth Copeland conference ends at about 7:01 into the video and then Kenneth Copeland gets back on the stage to pray for the Pope. I believe that millions will be swallowed up by Rome’s false “Christian” unity call, and it has been that way for decades. The majority of Pastors, preachers and ministers throughout the USA and the rest of the world have done absolutely nothing, to stem the tide of this “false unity movement” either. Only time will tell where this whole mess is going to end up, but do not sign me up for the Pope’s brotherhood. There has always been a true Christian unity by the power of the Holy Spirit, and that same Holy Spirit will never point a person to join hands with the false teachings of Rome.
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. (John 16:13)
