The Jewish people are living in religious bondage and the Lord wants to set them FREE! There is a spiritual veil upon the minds and hearts of the Jewish people who reject Jesus as their Messiah and Lord. They possess the scriptures, but they do not understand the scriptures, as the Lord God Almighty would have them to do.
And not as MOSES, which put a vail over his face, that the children of ISRAEL could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished: But THEIR MINDS were BLINDED: for UNTIL THIS DAY remaineth the SAME VAIL UNTAKEN AWAY in the reading of the OLD TESTAMENT; which VAIL is DONE AWAY IN CHRIST. But even UNTO THIS DAY, when MOSES is read, the VAIL is upon THEIR HEART. Nevertheless WHEN it shall TURN TO THE LORD, the VAIL shall be TAKEN AWAY. Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. (2 Corinthians 3:13-17)
The passage of scripture is telling us that the Jewish people can read their scriptures, and all the while completely MISS the truth of those same scriptures, regarding Jesus the Christ (Messiah) The Bible tells us that their minds “were blinded” and that this spiritual veil can only be removed when they turn to Jesus Christ. Oh, what a battle there is for the soul of men and women. This is certainly not a light thing that we are talking about here. We are talking about having salvation in Jesus Christ, and being on the road to Heaven, or rejecting Jesus Christ, and being on the broad road to Hell!
But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. (2 Corinthians 4:3-4)
This spiritual veil is not limited to the Jewish people only, BUT it includes all people who reject Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord. The Bible tells us that the “god of this world” has blinded the minds of those who believe not! Who is the “god of this world” anyway. That is speaking about Satan himself the great deceiver of souls, and the one who deceives the whole world.
And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the DEVIL, and SATAN, which DECEIVETH the WHOLE WORLD: he was CAST OUT into the earth, and his angels were CAST OUT WITH HIM. (Revelation 12:9)
Satan will do all that he can with people to keep them from understanding the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He absolutely hates the soul redeeming blood that was shed upon the cross for the sins of mankind, and he will influence people to believe something else. In the case of Judaism, it is a religion that does not accept the teaching that Jesus was, and is, the Messiah who was promised by the Old Testament prophets. Many do not realize that the children of Israel even killed their own prophets, and that is written about in the Bible over and over again.
For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe. For ye, brethren, became followers of the churches of God which in Judaea are in Christ Jesus: for ye also have suffered like things of your own countrymen, even as they have of the JEWS: Who both KILLED the LORD JESUS, and THEIR OWN PROPHETS, and have persecuted us; and they PLEASE NOT GOD, and are CONTRARY to all men: Forbidding us to SPEAK to the GENTILES that they might be SAVED, to fill up THEIR SINS alway: for the WRATH is come upon them to the uttermost. (1 Thessalonians 2:13-16)
The scriptures tell us that the Jews killed Jesus, and their own prophets and they even prevented the Gospel from being preached to the Gentiles! That passage of scripture was written by the Jewish apostle Paul, who was formerly in the exact same religious bondage that his fellow countrymen were. It took a supernatural experience (Acts 9:1-31, Acts 26:1-32) for that man Paul to get right with God, and it will take a supernatural (spiritual) experience for any other person (Jewish or Gentile) who wants to enter the Kingdom of God, and ultimately enter Heaven. (John 3:1-8, 2 Corinthians 5:17, Titus 3:5)
Men and brethren, children of the stock of Abraham, and whosoever among you feareth God, to you is the word of this SALVATION sent. For they that dwell at Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they KNEW HIM NOT, nor yet the voices of THE PROPHETS which are read EVERY SABBATH DAY, they have FULFILLED THEM in condemning him. And though they found NO CAUSE OF DEATH in him, yet desired they Pilate that he should be slain. And when they had fulfilled all that was written of him, they took him down from the tree, and laid him in a sepulchre. But God raised him from the dead: (Acts 13:26-30)
Even until this very day that we live in, the scriptures are read every Sabbath day in Jewish synagogues throughout the world. To this very day, the Jewish people in those synagogues refuse to believe that Jesus is the Christ (Messiah) To this very day the millions of Jewish souls in those same synagogues are void of the eternal life that God Almighty offers them through His Son Jesus. Jesus told the Jewish people that they would die in their sins if they did not believe in Him. (John 8:24) Jesus told the people that He was the way, truth and the Life. (John 14:6) In the following passage Jesus made it clear the the Old Testament prophesied about Him, but the Jewish people chose to remain in their own religious bondage.
And THE FATHER HIMSELF, which HATH SENT ME, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape. And ye have not his word abiding in you: FOR WHOM HE HATH SENT, him YE BELIEVE NOT. Search the scriptures; for in them YE THINK ye have ETERNAL LIFE: and they are they which TESTIFY OF ME. And YE WILL NOT COME TO ME, that ye might have LIFE. (John 5:37-40)
The Law of God which the Jewish people believe will stop every person from attempting to justify themselves before a Holy and Righteous God. (Romans 3:19-20) The Law of God shows all of us that we are sinners by nature, (Ephesians 2:1-3) and under the wrath of God unless we receive His mercy. The love and mercy which God does offer to ALL mankind, comes ONLY in the person of Jesus Christ. There is NO other mercy that God offers outside of His Son Jesus Christ. It is the BLOOD of Jesus, and His BLOOD alone that will atone for a persons sins.
For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. (Romans 5:6-9)
Amazing Prophecies Fulfilled By Jesus Christ
Here are some of the amazing prophecies that were totally FULFILLED by Jesus Christ. Do not forget to repent of your sins, and receive the forgiveness that God offers you. (Luke 24:47) The Bible tells us all, that the WRATH of God is already abiding upon those who reject Jesus, the Son of God. It is not too late for you to turn to him and be SAVED!
He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. (John 3:36)

Example: The name of the book in the Bible is followed by the chapter and then the verse. So then, Isaiah 7:14 describes the book of Isaiah, chapter 7 and verse 14]
The first scripture reference is a PROPHECY from an Old Testament book, and the next reference is the FULFILLMENT of that very same prophecy which is found in a New Testament book. Prophecy is an exciting subject because it certifies the Word of God to be authentic and true, and it will boost your FAITH tremendously as you search the scriptures for yourself.
Isaiah Prophesied That Jesus Christ Would Be Born of Virgin
The prophet Isaiah prophesied of a virgin who would bring forth the one known as “Emmanuel’ which means “God with us” [Isaiah 7:14] and that was fulfilled when Jesus Christ was born of the Jewish virgin Mary [Matthew 1:23].
Isaiah Prophesied That Jesus Christ Would Be Slain for Our Sins
That same prophet Isaiah prophesied that the Messiah would be despised and rejected by men, and that He would be wounded for our transgressions, and bear our iniquities [Isaiah 53:1-12] and that is exactly what Jesus Christ did for mankind on the cross [John 19:30].
Zechariah Prophesied That Jesus Christ Would Ride Into Jerusalem on a Donkey
The prophet Zechariah prophesied that a King who was “lowly” and “having SALVATION” would ride into Jerusalem on a donkey [ass] [Zechariah 9:9] and that is exactly how Jesus rode into Jerusalem [Matthew 21:1-11, John 12:12-14].
Zechariah Prophesied That Jesus Christ Would Be Betrayed For 30 Pieces of Silver
That same prophet Zechariah prophesied that the Messiah would be betrayed for 30 pieces of silver [Zechariah 11:12] and that is exactly how many pieces of silver that Judas Iscariot received, when he betrayed Jesus Christ [Matthew 26:14-15].
Zechariah Prophesied Would Mourn Jesus Christ After He Was Pierced
That same prophet Zechariah prophesied that the people would mourn on Him [Jesus the Messiah] whom they pierced. [Zechariah 12:10] and that was fulfilled exactly as prophesied, when Jesus was killed on the cross [John 19:37].
David Prophesied They Would Gamble For Garments of Jesus Christ
David prophesied that they would gamble for the garments of the Messiah [Psalm 22:18]and that is exactly what happened at the cross of Jesus Christ [Mark 15:24].
Micah Prophesied Birth of Jesus Christ at Bethlehem
The prophet Micah prophesied the very birthplace of the Messiah in Bethlehem [Micah 5:2] and that is exactly where Jesus was born [Matthew 2:3-6, John 7:42].
Those are just some of the many prophecies which can be found in the Bible regarding the person of Jesus Christ. These prophecies were uttered hundreds upon hundreds of years before the events were actually fulfilled to the very letter. These are not like some of those weird “prophecies” that appear in those silly magazines that come out around this time of year. No, these are Biblical prophecies straight out of the scriptures, the Word of God, and they testify of Jesus Christ.
