Did you know that there is only ONE true and Biblical priesthood that is recognized by Almighty GOD? Did you know that YOU can become a TRUE PRIEST in God’s sight, without ever attending a Seminary? Yes, that is TRUE, and once YOU become a PRIEST, the God of truth will recognize YOU to be the real and genuine thing. This PRIESTHOOD is open to both men and women, and ENTRANCE into this PRIESTHOOD can be done even TODAY, and even at this MOMENT! You may be wondering if there is a catch here, when there is absolutely NONE at all. You see most people have no idea that there is only ONE TRUE PRIESTHOOD that is recognized as TRUE in the sight of God Almighty, and that is the PRIESTHOOD of TRUE BELIEVERS in Jesus Christ. Not only that, but there are many tens of thousands of people who THINK that they are priests in the sight of God Almighty, but in TRUTH, they are outside His Kingdom entirely!
If you study the Bible you can read about the Old Covenant (Testament) sacrifices which took place inside the Hebrew Tabernacle and the Hebrew Temple, and and the priesthood which was instituted by God. You must understand that all of those things were but types and shadows which pointed to the TRUE FULFILLMENT in the person of Jesus Christ. Therein lies the KEY to understanding what TRUE SALVATION is all about. The only problem is that the majority of people in the world do not even believe the things which are written there. There are literally BILLIONS of people throughout the world who do not BELIEVE that Jesus Christ IS, who He said He WAS. The majority of Jewish people living in the world, do not believe that Jesus, is in fact the Christ (Messiah), and yet millions of people will still call them God’s CHOSEN people! How can a person CHOOSE to reject Jesus Christ, the one whom God the Father sent, and still believe that they are CHOSEN? There are millions of Muslims who do not even believe that God had a Son, never mind that Jesus Christ was God in the flesh. The people of Islam (Muslims) believe that Jesus is nothing more than a prophet! The Hindu people worship all sorts of “gods” and they do not believe that Jesus Christ is the only way to Heaven. The Roman Catholic “church” according to their own tradition, has their own “priesthood” where the priest has the “power” to transform (transubstantiate) a piece of bread and a cup of wine, into the person of Jesus Christ. But the Bible does not teach that anywhere. Listen to what the apostle Peter has to say about the true biblical PRIESTHOOD.
Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. (1 Peter 2:5)
The apostle Peter referred to the TRUE believers in Jesus Christ as “lively” stones, and the word “lively” is translated from the Greek word “ZAO” which means to LIVE, or LIFE and this is most important for us to understand. The TRUE believers in Jesus Christ have been RESURRECTED from SPIRITUAL DEATH to SPIRITUAL LIFE through FAITH in the RISEN Lord Jesus Christ. This is the very center of Christianity, and if you miss this, you miss the whole Gospel entirely. Peter tells us that the BELIEVER in Jesus Christ is a LIVING STONE in a SPIRITUAL HOUSE, which simply means that a BELIEVER is but one of many millions (billions?) who have been SPIRITUALLY REGENERATED (born again) through FAITH in Jesus Christ. That same group of people is made up of those who have recognized their own wretched condition, and who have found the SPIRITUAL remedy in the person of Jesus Christ. It is that simple! That same group of people are referred to as a “Holy Priesthood” by Peter, and they are not offering up Old Covenant animal sacrifices, but New Covenant, SPIRITUAL sacrifices, which are acceptable to God. It is truly not a hard thing to understand. The bottom line is that people everywhere throughout the world, need to know that God offers them the GIFT of salvation and the GIFT of the Holy Spirit, and it all comes by FAITH! (Ephesians 2:8-9, Acts 2:38)
But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy. (1 Peter 2:9-10)
Who is eligible to become part of this TRUE PRIESTHOOD which is totally recognized by Almighty God? Every human being in this world is eligible to become part of this TRUE PRIESTHOOD and it matters not what you have done in your past. The KEY to this whole thing is recognizing YOUR OWN need to “repent and believe the Gospel (good news)” (Mark 1:15) which is clearly stated in the Bible. The very fact that Jesus Christ rose from the DEAD after He was killed should be enough to get your attention. The most amazing thing is that the Lord still preached the SAME thing after He rose from the DEAD as he did before He was killed! God still offers all mankind FORGIVENESS for their sins, and it does not matter how HEINOUS that sin might be. This where many people stumble, because they look at themselves as basically “good people” and they would never include themselves with other sinners, or “low-lives” as some would call them. There are millions of people who would even identify themselves as “spiritual” or “religious” people, but those same people, have NEVER become LIVING STONES within the SPIRITUAL HOUSE of God, and therefore they are NOT part of the TRUE PRIESTHOOD of believers in Jesus Christ. Listen to what Jesus Christ declared after He rose from the dead:
And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me. Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. (Luke 24:44-47)
There is a lot of talk about the end times, and all of this stuff about what is going to happen before the Lord returns, but many of those same people have never even been SAVED themselves. There are literally millions of people who attend “church” in a PHYSICAL building who have NEVER become part of the true church and SPIRITUAL HOUSE OF GOD. Many (millions) of those same people do NOT believe, and would NOT declare that Jesus Christ is the ONLY way to Heaven! I hope that YOU are not numbered among those people. Here are some other important scriptures for you to meditate on. If YOU do not know the Lord Jesus Christ, do not put it off, for we are not promised even another day.
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: (Hebrews 9:27)
As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: (Romans 3:10)
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 6:23)
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. (Romans 5:8-9)
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 14:6)
Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. (Acts 4:10-12)
And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. (Revelation 1:5-8)
