In a book entitled “The Glories Of Mary” by St Alphonsus Liguori it tells the story about a BIRD that shouted out the words “Hail Mary” (the mother of Jesus) and averted an attack from a hawk! Here is an excerpt from that book here.
“Bernard de Bustis relates that a bird was taught to say ‘Hail Mary’ A hawk was on the point of seizing it, when the bird cried out ‘Hail Mary!’ in an instant the hawk fell dead. God intended to show thereby, that if even an irrational creature was preserved by calling on Mary, how much more would those who are prompt in calling on her when assaulted by devils, be delivered from them.” [The Glories Of Mary, By St. Alphonsus Liguori, TAN Books and Publishers, Rockford, Illinois, 61105, page 67]
I am a former Roman Catholic and I used to pray the rosary, which are primarily Hail Mary prayers. After I was born again of the Spirit, I came out from the deception of Roman Catholicism. Many others have been delivered from that same system, but very few are willing to speak out against it. I believe that the modern day ‘church’ is the reason for that fear. Many of today’s leaders are merely PUPPETS of the ‘established church’ and they dare not speak out, or they will be out of a job. Jesus is the good shepherd and he cares for the sheep. Those who remain SILENT, so as to avoid controversy or to save their own job, ought not to be a Pastor or a preacher for that matter. Many of the modern day church leaders, and ‘famous’ Pastors, are incredibly SLICK (smooth talkers) in how they avoid getting involved in issues like this, BUT I believe the Lord Jesus Christ is going to deal with that very soon.
