The title of this article sounds very basic and simple does it not? I mean after all, who on earth would want to make peace with the devil? The problem is that there are multitudes of people within the church ranks that do just that, because they make light of the doctrines of devils which the Bible warns us about. Somebody once said, that the one thing that we learn from history, is that we don’t learn from history, and that person was speaking the truth. The Jewish apostle Paul spoke the following words regarding this very topic:
Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; (1 Timothy 4:1)
It was the Holy Spirit of God who spoke to Paul concerning the “last days” and he made it clear to Paul that there would be those who would desert the faith, after being seduced by “doctrines of devils.” Now I do not think that there would be many who would remain at a church service, if the man in the pulpit sprouted red hot devil’s horns right in the middle of his message, but that is not how Satan works. The devil is a very deceitful, and slick seducer, and he takes his time. He works inch by inch, and little by little until he accomplishes his purpose. He brings in his false teachings which are contrary to God’s word, and he replaces the truth with something that sounds similar to the scriptures, so that he can get over on people. The devils doctrines make void the truth of God’s word and few people ever seem to notice. The Lord Jesus Christ often dealt with the religious Jewish Pharisees, and he spoke out against their truth destroying traditions.
Then the Pharisees and scribes asked him, Why walk not thy disciples according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashen hands? He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias (Isaiah) prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do. And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition. (Mark 7:5-9)
It was the same Spirit of the living God that opened my eyes to the gross deception of the Roman Catholic church. I was in bondage to the man made traditions of Rome, which made void the very word of God. It was the Spirit of the living God who showed me that the price for my sins was already paid for on the cross by Jesus Christ, and that I have already been reconciled back to God.
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. (Romans 5:8-10)
If I chose to remain as a Roman Catholic then I would have been in disobedience to God’s word. I would have been a liar if I told people that the Roman Catholic Mass could satisfy the justice of God for my sins and theirs too! Yet, the Catholic church teaches (and without compromise), that their Catholic priest satisfies the justice of God for mans sins whenever he performs a Mass. Hello! I say Hello is there anybody home? That teaching on the Mass is so demonic that I believe the devil himself is amazed that he has bamboozled millions for so many centuries. When people ignore the truthful warnings which are found throughout God’s word, then they are making a choice to make peace with the devil. When you find yourself following the teachings of a famous preacher, or book author, when their teachings are in opposition to the scriptures, then you have decided to make peace with the devil. You have chosen to take heed to the “doctrines of devils” which the apostle Paul warned us about. I thank God for the Holy Spirit, and I thank God for the scriptures, because I know that the Lord has been ever so faithful to show me the truth, and that he will continue to show me the truth until he takes me home.
But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things. (1 John 2:20)
What was it that brought me out of the demonic bondage of Mary worship in the Roman Catholic church. It was the truth from the word of God. My wife Cathy got saved before I did, and the Lord opened her spiritual eyes to the truth. She witnessed to me, and I resisted her for several weeks until the Holy Spirit of God compelled me to listen to what she had to say. The religious trinkets of Rome which included “Mary” medals, images of Catholic “saints” and other Catholic things were discarded immediately. We were set free by the Holy Spirit of God, and we fell in love with the real Jesus Christ. That is why I speak out against the gross deception and hypocrisy of the modern day “anointed” charismatic preachers who try to tell the people that the Roman Catholic church is a true Christian denomination. Have you ever noticed that even the boldest so called Christian apologists will never speak out against the so called “church” of Rome? It is spiritual warfare folks, and there are millions of souls that are hanging in the balance. I believe that we are going to see many more people such as the Swedish Pastor, Ulf Ekman who was seduced by the teachings of Rome, as the modern day compromisers sit idly by and say nothing. The devil did his job well and he seduced another one. For the sake of your own soul, and for the sake of those who are influenced by you, do not make peace with the devil!
