When we are talking about the subject of salvation, we are talking about a very serious subject indeed. How could it not be serious, when we are talking about where a person is going to spend eternity. Considering the fact, that many people do in fact believe that there really is a Heaven, and there really is a Hell, the only thing that matters is what the Bible teaches on this subject. All of the man made opinions matter little, when it comes to truth, and the Bible is ever so clear on this subject of salvation. So where in the Bible does it tell me (and you) that there is no difference between the Jewish people and the Gentiles? Here it is right here. The first passage concerns the subject of the children of God. Who are they according to the Word of God (the Bible)?
For ye are all the CHILDREN OF GOD by FAITH in CHRIST (MESSIAH) JESUS. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. (Galatians 3:26-27)
The passage tells us that the determining factor of a person becoming a child of God, is FAITH in Christ (Messiah) Jesus.
There is neither JEW nor GREEK (Gentile), there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in CHRIST (MESSIAH) JESUS. And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise. (Galatians 3:28-29)
The passage above tells us that there is neither Jew nor Greek, and the Greek was speaking of a non Jewish person, and that would actually apply to any other Gentile (non Jewish person) also. If you look at the rest of the passage above, you will see that the converted Jewish apostle Paul was trying to get a point across to his listeners. That point was that there was absolutely no distinction at all, between the Jew and the Gentile when it came to salvation. Paul also mentioned, the male and the female, the bond (slave) and the free to get his point across. Why is there NO difference between those different groups of people? Simply because ALL of them are sinners by nature, (Romans 3:23) and every one of them (us), were (and billions still are) children of wrath by nature also. (Ephesians 2:1-3) In other words, this whole subject of salvation is a spiritual thing. Either a person has been born again of the Spirit, (John 3:1-8) and been made a new creation in Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17) or they have not. I encourage you to trace the history of the Jewish people, in the Bible, and you will end up in the very same place that I take you to today. There is only ONE true PROMISED seed (descendant) of Abraham, and that seed (descendant) is Jesus Christ:
Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ. (Galatians 3:16)
Jesus Christ was the promised descendant, and obviously the Messiah that was promised to come. Once again, I remind you that the word Christ means Messiah. You most certainly have a choice in this matter of salvation. You can CHOOSE to believe that Jesus is indeed the Messiah, and receive Him or you can reject Him, but that is YOUR own choice. The Bible makes it very clear that if YOU belong to Christ, then YOU are Abraham’s seed (descendants) and heirs according to the very promise of God! There is no way around this vital truth. All of this talk about the “Church of God” (meaning Christians) being merely a [parenthesis] in God’s plan of salvation is an atrocious way of thinking. All of this talk about God’s plan for the Jewish people being POSTPONED is an absolute insult, and a smack in the face of Jesus Christ Himself. In fact it is downright wicked! There is no special plan of salvation for the Jewish people, outside of the Cross of Jesus Christ! The greatest act in the history of the world took place nearly 2000 years ago, when Christ died on the cross. If a person rejects God’s offer of salvation, through Jesus Christ, then they will be damned for eternity according to Jesus the Messiah Himself! This offer of salvation is for every person in the world. That means that there is not a person in any part of the world, that is beyond the redeeming power of Jesus Christ. There will not be a “magical” redemption that takes place at the end, for any group of people, either Jewish or Gentile.
The Bible also shows us that both the Jew, and the Gentile, have their hearts purified by Almighty God, through simple faith in Jesus Christ! The Jewish apostle Peter had to speak out boldly against those people who thought that the Gentiles needed to be circumcised (in the flesh) under the Jewish LAW! Peter put a stop to that right away, and he referred to the Jewish LAW, as a YOKE that even the Jewish “fathers” could not bear. Peter then made it clear that the Gentiles would be saved by GRACE even as the Lord saved the Jewish people. This is one of the clearest scriptures in the Bible, that shows us that there is NO DIFFERENCE between the Jew and the Gentiles in the matter of salvation. If the Holy Ghost is not INSIDE a person’s heart, then there can be NO SALVATION, for that soul. It does not matter a drop, whether that person is Jewish or Gentile, and that is the Gospel truth!
And the apostles and elders came together for to consider of this matter. And when there had been much disputing, PETER rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago GOD MADE CHOICE AMONG US, that the GENTILES by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe. And GOD, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the HOLY GHOST, EVEN AS HE DID UNTO US; And put NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN US AND THEM, purifying their hearts BY FAITH. Now therefore why tempt ye GOD, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear? But we believe that through the GRACE of the LORD JESUS CHRIST we shall be SAVED, even as they. (Acts 15:6-11)
God is absolutely fair, and he offers His TRUE righteousness to ALL sinners who put their faith in Him!
Even the righteousness of GOD which is BY FAITH of JESUS CHRIST unto ALL and upon ALL them that BELIEVE: for there is NO DIFFERENCE: For ALL have SINNED, and COME SHORT of the glory of GOD; (Romans 3:22-23)
Do YOU really want to be SAVED or do you just want to play religious games with the truth when YOU hear it?
For there is NO DIFFERENCE between the JEW and the GREEK (Gentile): for the SAME LORD over ALL is rich unto ALL that CALL UPON HIM. For WHOSOEVER shall CALL upon the name of the LORD shall be SAVED. (Romans 10:12-13)
After Jesus Christ rose from the dead, He told us that He possessed ALL power in Heaven and Earth. (Matthew 28:16-20). Jesus told His followers to start preaching a message of repentance and forgiveness in Him, and He told them to preach it among ALL nations and to start at Jerusalem. (Luke 24:47) There it is! No difference between Jewish or Gentiles (the nations). The promise that was given to Abraham, that He would be a “father of many nations” (Genesis 17:4-5, Romans 4:17-18) was totally FULFILLED in Jesus Christ! The message went OUTWARD from Jerusalem, to the rest of the world. If a person believes the Gospel in Russia, they are SAVED the same way as the person who believes the Gospel in Africa! If a person believes the Gospel in Iran, they are SAVED the same way as the person who believes the Gospel in Israel! There is NO DIFFERENCE at all, and that is the absolute beauty of this Gospel of Jesus Christ! There is absolutely NO DIFFERENCE between the Jewish and the Gentile! Any person who comes to you with a different message, and a different Gospel is under the very curse of God! (Galatians 1:8-9)
Here is what Jesus told His disciples after He rose again from the dead. Keep in mind that He stood before them wounds and all:
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and PREACH THE GOSPEL to every creature. He that BELIEVETH and is baptized shall be SAVED; but he that BELIEVETH NOT shall be DAMNED. (Mark 16:15-16)
There are only TWO different groups of people in the sight of Almighty God. The first group of people are the SAVED, and they are those people, who have been redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ. The second group of people are the LOST, and they are those people, who have not trusted (by faith) the Lord Jesus Christ for the salvation of their souls. It is quite a simple thing Which group do YOU belong to?
