We are living in a time when we need to get back to basics regarding the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This Gospel is all about Jesus. It is not about Israel nor is about Vatican City either. It is about salvation being available for any living person, Jewish or Gentile in the person of Jesus Christ. If that is not the message, then there is no message. If you are looking for unity without repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, then you have been deceived and you are in a great delusion yourself. This Gospel is all about Jesus as the apostle Paul stresses right here:
Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God, (Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,) Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh; And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead: (Romans 1:1-4)
Paul was separated and dedicated to serving Jesus Christ (Messiah), the one who was promised by the prophets in the scriptures. You will never find Paul or any of the other apostles talking about the importance of the land of Israel, but you will find him speaking about the people who resided in the land of Israel, and their need for salvation in Christ (Messiah). Paul mentions the fact that Jesus was of the seed of David, which means that Jesus was of the lineage of David. Jesus was the Messiah who the people of Israel should have embraced and accepted, but they refused and rejected Him (for the most part) and suffered the eternal consequences for doing so.
Paul also mentions the fact that Jesus Christ was declared to be the Son of God with power, by the resurrection from the dead. You will never find Paul or any of the other apostles talking about Vatican City and the need to follow a Pope! You will never find Paul or any other follower of Jesus Christ talking about the daily sacrifice of the Roman Catholic Mass, but you will find Him preaching about the believers justification by faith in the blood of Christ! (Romans 5:1,6-11) It is all about Jesus Christ! You will find Paul warning his followers about those who would come preaching “another Gospel” which is a false Gospel that brings a curse upon those who believe it! (Galatians 1:8-9)
There is nothing more awesome then the truth that Jesus Christ has conquered sin and death, and we all know as believers that Jesus is the only way of salvation. (John 14:6, Acts 4:12) That is the message that was preached by the Holy Ghost filled preachers in Paul’s day, and that is the only message that should be preached by true believers today. The Gospel account of the resurrection of Jesus Christ makes it ever so clear that there is no other message but Jesus for both Jew and Gentile. You will not find a hint in the words of Jesus Christ about His concern for the physical land of Israel, a modern day distraction and deception. The Lord’s concern was always about the spiritual heart of people, and whether or not they wanted Him! The very resurrection of Jesus Christ was a testimony to those who believed in Him, and an absolute rebuke to those who killed and refused Him. Jesus is alive and well and He even offers mercy to those who opposed Him in the past! Listen to what He said after He rose again from the dead:
And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you. But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit. And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts? Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have. And when he had thus spoken, he shewed them his hands and his feet. And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here any meat? And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb. And he took it, and did eat before them. And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me. Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. (Luke 24:36-47)
Jesus stressed the fact that the prophets spoke concerning HIM! Jesus told His followers to preach repentance and remission (forgiveness) of sins in HIS name! Jesus told His followers to preach that among ALL nations, and He told them to begin at Jerusalem. THAT WAS THE MESSAGE BACK THEN AND THAT MESSAGE HAS NEVER CHANGED! Do not be bamboozled by the Zionist type of preaching which has been made popular by people such as John Hagee, and many others. The key that unlocks this “Zionist” deception as well as ALL other forms of deception is the simple preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all without exception. If a person fails to repent and put their faith in Jesus Christ, then they will spend eternity in hell forever according to Him! (Matthew 25:41,Luke 12:5, 16:19-31)
There are many ministers in the world today who indeed preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, but they also do some “fancy footwork” in their avoidance of controversial issues such as Israel and the Roman Catholic Church. Many have become experts in their artful maneuvering, and they have learned the “ways of the world” in dealing with very serious issues such as the false Gospel of Rome. They do not want to offend people, so they remain silent, at the cost of souls. They realize that speaking out on such things will upset some of their popular and rich “minister” friends, who support their own ministries. They work hand in hand with other ministers who are in outright compromise with Rome and their poisonous false doctrines, and yet they fail to warn their own congregations, which is their duty as shepherds of the flock. Not only that but they honor some of those same “ministers” which is absolutely mind boggling.
The apostle Paul left us a great example, and an inspiration for not “selling out” to the compromising message of today. Paul spoke out so boldly because he knew the value of a soul, and he saw behind the wiles and tactics of the Devil, in keeping the truth from the common people. Many of the reformers of the past also had a heart, just like Paul’s, and they spoke out boldly in the face of much opposition, and it cost them dearly. That is what is known as TRUE LOVE, because they were concerned for the souls of men, more than their own lives. You will hear that same LOVE coming forth from the apostle Paul, in this passage of scripture from the book of Acts:
But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God. And now, behold, I know that ye all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of God, shall see my face no more. Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men. For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God. Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood. For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them. Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears. And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified. (Acts 20:24-32)
