There is a lot of talk about the land, and the people of Israel, both of which have become an IDOL for many Christians. Did you know that the Bible tells us that the land which was promised to Abraham has already been possessed and FULFILLED!
And the LORD gave unto ISRAEL ALL the LAND which he SWARE to give unto their fathers; and they POSSESSED IT, and DWELT therein. And the LORD gave them REST round about, according to all that he SWARE unto their fathers: and there stood NOT A MAN of all their ENEMIES before them; the LORD delivered ALL their ENEMIES into their hand. There FAILED NOT ought of ANY GOOD THING which the LORD had spoken unto the house of ISRAEL; ALL CAME TO PASS. (Joshua 21:43-45)
What does the BIBLE say that The LORD gave to Israel? He gave them ALL the land, and they POSSESSED it! None stood before Israel! The LORD delivered ALL enemies into their hand! The Bible (scriptures) tells us that Joshua took the WHOLE land (not just part of it).
So Joshua took the WHOLE LAND, according to all that the LORD said unto MOSES; and Joshua gave it for an inheritance unto ISRAEL according to their divisions by their tribes. And the LAND rested from war. (Joshua 11:23)
Joshua took what? = the WHOLE LAND!
Then the LAND rested from WAR!
There you have it from GOD’S WORD!
Will YOU believe the WORD of GOD, or the words of mere men?
Abraham was truly looking for a CITY which was ETERNAL!
By FAITH Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went. By FAITH he sojourned in the LAND of PROMISE, as in a STRANGE COUNTRY, dwelling in tabernacles with ISAAC and JACOB, the heirs with him of the same PROMISE: For he LOOKED for a CITY which hath foundations, whose BUILDER and MAKER is GOD. Through FAITH also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised. Therefore sprang there even of one, and him as good as dead, so many as the STARS of the sky in multitude, and as the SAND which is by the sea shore innumerable. (Hebrews 11:8-12)
Abraham felt like a STRANGER down here in this world
Abraham desired a city ABOVE built by GOD ALMIGHTY!
There has always been ONE people of God = NOT TWO!
FAITHFUL believers were seeking a HEAVENLY country
These all died in FAITH, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were PERSUADED of them, and EMBRACED them, and confessed that they were STRANGERS and PILGRIMS on the EARTH. For they that SAY SUCH THINGS declare plainly that they seek a country. And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had OPPORTUNITY to have RETURNED. But now they desire a BETTER COUNTRY, that is, an HEAVENLY: wherefore GOD is not ashamed to be called their GOD: for he hath PREPARED for them A CITY. (Hebrews 11:13-16)
TRUE FAITH brought them into HEAVEN
TRUE FAITH will bring YOU into HEAVEN!
This earth is TEMPORARY but HEAVEN above is ETERNAL!
They desired a HEAVENLY country = Do You?
But ye are come unto mount Sion [ZION], and unto the CITY OF THE LIVING GOD, the HEAVENLY JERUSALEM, and to an innumerable company of ANGELS, To the general assembly and CHURCH OF THE FIRSTBORN, which are WRITTEN IN HEAVEN, and to GOD the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, (Hebrews 12:22-23)
YOU must be BORN AGAIN!
If YOU desire to be in HEAVEN for ETERNITY,
Then YOU must be born again!
That which is born of the FLESH is FLESH; and that which is born of the SPIRIT is SPIRIT. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye MUST be BORN AGAIN. (John 3:6-7)
A person is NOT born again when they are baptized in water, either as an infant or an adult! The modern day church is filled with people who have NEVER been truly BORN AGAIN of the SPIRIT, which comes ONLY through BELIEVING the gospel of Jesus Christ, which was preached to them! Those same people are STILL on the road to HELL, even though they may attend church every week!
Being BORN AGAIN, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the WORD OF GOD, which liveth and abideth for ever. For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: But the WORD of the LORD endureth for ever. And this is the WORD which by THE GOSPEL is PREACHED unto you. (1 Peter 1:23-25)
It is time to move away from politics and nationalism. The true people of God are those people who are INSIDE His kingdom by faith! That includes both Jewish and Gentile believers who have been circumcised in the heart.
“For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.” (Romans 2:28-29)
The people of Israel and all Jewish people who reject Jesus Christ are still DEAD in their sins according to the Messiah himself. They are on the broad road to Hell!
“Then said Jesus again unto them, I go my way, and ye shall seek me, and shall die in your sins: whither I go, ye cannot come. Then said the Jews, Will he kill himself? because he saith, Whither I go, ye cannot come. And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world. I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins. ” (John 8:21-24)
The apostle Paul was a Jew who was on his way to Hell until the Lord Jesus Christ spoke to him from Heaven and saved his wretched soul! He knows what he is talking about. Listen to his warning about the unbelieving Jews.
“Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision. For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.” (Philippians 3:2-3)
There is only ONE true body of believers and that is made up of both Jewish and Gentile believers who have trusted Jesus Christ alone for the salvation of their souls!
“Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; ” (Ephesians 2:11-14)
So rejoice my fellow Gentile believers in Jesus Christ! Rejoice my fellow Jewish friend who has come to the realization that Jesus is most certainly the Messiah who was promised by the prophets to come into this world!
