1] Know The Truth About Yourself
You may say that you are not interested in spiritual things, but now is a great time to get interested if you know what is good for you. Did you know that the wrath of God is upon you without Jesus Christ?
He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. (John 3:36)
The believer has everlasting life IN Jesus Christ BUT the unbeliever has the wrath of God upon them! Why? Because they are still DEAD in their sins without Christ!
Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: (Romans 5:12)
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; (Romans 3:23)
As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: (Romans 3:10)
Those scripture verses from the Bible/Word of God totally rule out the myth and false idea of the “good person.” Most people somehow think that IF their “good deeds” outweigh their “bad deeds” then they will be perfectly fine, and end up in Heaven.
The truth about YOURSELF is that YOU are a wretch in need of salvation, in other words YOU are UNGODLY in the sight of God! It does not matter what Mom or Dad, friends, or relatives think about you. They may think that you are Mr or Mrs Wonderful. The ONLY thing that really matters is what GOD thinks about YOU!
2] Know the Truth About Salvation In Jesus Christ
Here is the good news about Jesus Christ.
For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. (Romans 5:6)
At the right time Christ died for the UNGODLY! Do not ever forget those words, because they might come to your memory one day, and that may save you later. YOU may laugh this message off now, BUT that’s alright because you may be ready later, BUT you are not promised tomorrow.
The GREAT NEWS is that Jesus Christ died for the UNGODLY
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8)
Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. (Romans 5:9)
What great LOVE God had toward US that Christ would DIE for us wretched sinners, when WE all deserved the lowest part of Hell! The beauty of the gospel of Jesus Christ is that it is available to ALL people. There are No exemptions, and that includes ALL people Jewish and Gentile. Do YOU Remember that I said that the wrath of God is upon YOU without Jesus Christ. Romans 5:9 tells us that the wrath is REMOVED through FAITH in Jesus Christ!
3] Are there OTHER Ways or Roads to Heaven?
Absolutely NOT! Jesus Christ said that HE was the only way. The gospel soft soapers will try to convince you that their false religions will take them to heaven, but do not believe them for a second. In fact that kind of false teaching would make Jesus Christ a LIAR!
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 14:6)
Jesus Christ (Messiah) is the Lord who came down from heaven (1 Corinthians 15:47), and He is the only one who was SINLESS. His BLOOD alone can ATONE for the SINS of any man or woman in the world. This same JESUS rose from the DEAD, and HE defeated DEATH for us. His resurrection PROVED that he was the SINLESS son of God
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. (Mark 16:15-16)
If Jesus Christ declared that the unbelievers would be DAMNED, then you can take Him at His own word! Do not make Jesus Christ a liar! Jesus also made it clear that YOU must be born again!
That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. (John 3:6-7)
Without the regeneration of the Holy Spirit YOU are still DEAD in YOUR sins. Sweet Jesus declared that YOU will DIE in your sins UNLESS you believe in Him! That means YOU will spend an eternity in a very REAL place called Hell. Most modern day preachers never tell you this, or they soft soap the very idea of Hell so as not to OFFEND their listeners. That is NOT love, but it is merely a man pleasing tactic to avoid persecution. Listen to Jesus Christ preach to the unbelieving Jewish people of his day.
I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins. (John 8:24)
The Jewish apostle Peter was given the opportunity to testify about Jesus Christ, to his own Jewish people. Peter was asked a DREAM question by the unbelieving Jews! There was a man who had been healed, and the unbelieving Jews wanted to know by what POWER and what NAME that man was healed. Peter answered them very truthfully. Here is the account from the Bible.
And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have ye done this? Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel, If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole; Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. (Acts 4:7-12)
There is only ONE way to be SAVED and that is through Jesus Christ. It does not matter what the preacher man or woman utters over the remains of the deceased inside the funeral parlour. Sweet words are often uttered over dead people who NEVER knew the Lord Jesus Christ, and those people have gone on to Hell. It is unfortunate but that is probably true in most cases. If the person inside the casket was NEVER born again of the Spirit of God, then that person was NEVER inside God’s Kingdom. They simply died in their sins, and continued on into outer darkness forever. Nobody is going to pray you out of Purgatory after you die, because there is no such place as Purgatory. I was taught that lie for many years as a Roman Catholic, but then I got saved for real, and I knew that it was one of Satan’s biggest lies of all time. What about YOU? Have you ever been born again?
