[See Short Video Below] Most people do not realize that the Roman Catholic Church teaches that the Pope, is necessary for the interpretation of God’s Word. The Roman Catholic system teaches that the Pope, the Magisterium (teaching office), and their tradition cannot be separated. Rome places their man-made tradition on an EQUAL level with the scriptures themselves! That is absolutely mind-boggling, but that is exactly what they teach. Here is an excerpt from their 1994 Catholic Catechism:
RCC-Catechism-1994 #100
“The task of interpreting the word of God authentically has been entrusted solely to the magisterium of the Church, that is, to the Pope and to the bishops in communion with him.”
But The Bible Tells Us That The Holy Ghost Is Our Teacher
I was raised as a Roman Catholic [my testimony], and I sat under the false teachings of Rome for many years, UNTIL the Holy Ghost (Spirit) opened up my eyes to the truth through the scriptures (Bible/God’s Word). I assure you that YOU do not need the Pope to interpret the scriptures for you. If you believe that, then you will continue to live in the religious bondage of that whole system, which preaches a false gospel, BUT the choice is your own. Do not be fooled by the “Catholic Charismatic movement” either, because I was involved in that aspect of Rome also. It is STILL Roman Catholic to the very core. Mary is still worshiped within that movement, and you will find the Rosary with it’s “Hail Marys” being prayed constantly at many of their Roman Catholic “Healing Masses.” Here is an article I wrote about the great deception of the Catholic Mass.
Here are some scriptures that show us that the Holy Ghost (Spirit) is the only teacher that you need. Yes, God does raise up certain people to be preachers and teachers in the body of Christ, BUT every true born-again believer in Jesus Christ is taught of the Holy Ghost!
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. (John 14:26)
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. (John 16:13)
Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. (1 Corinthians 2:12-13)
These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so. (Acts 17:11)
William Tyndale was a true man of God who was used by the Lord to get the scriptures (Bible) into the hands of the common people, and Rome was not happy with that at all. William Tyndale opposed the Roman Catholic Church with all of their man-made traditions, and he was eventually murdered by them by being burnt to death at the stake. Tyndale was one of many who met their fate in that manner, and we can all be grateful that we have a Bible in our hands because of men and women of God who stood against Rome. The Roman Catholic Church has not changed their doctrines, and they have added two more false teachings regarding Mary, including the feast of the “Immaculate Conception” and the “Assumption of Mary into Heaven.” There are many Christian “leaders” who have been seduced by this false religious system over the years, but the Word of God still stands true against their false teaching. The modern day Christian “leaders” have been bamboozled by Rome, and they in turn have bamboozled their own congregations. Millions of Christians have elevated their Pastors, and followed their compromising words, instead of exalting the Lord and following HIS own words! I pray that the Lord Jesus Christ would shake every one of those bogus preachers and Pastors who have led their people astray.
William Tyndale, who stood against Rome and their false gospel, met a man one day who declared the following:
“We were better to be without God’s laws then the Pope’s”
Master Tyndale hearing this, full of Godly zeal, and not bearing that blasphemous saying, replied
“ I defy the Pope and all his laws; and added, that if God spared him life, ere many years he would cause a boy that driveth the plough, to know more of the scripture than he did.”
